The Second WiderCat 92 Luxury Catamaran Has Been Launched

The WiderCat92 is an incredible, 28-metre catamaran from Italian Yacht Maker, Wider Yachts.

Like its predecessor, this new vessel features an innovative serial hybrid propulsion system and exquisite interior and exterior designs by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, in collaboration with Wider Centro Stile. However, this unit has been customized to meet the specific needs of its discerning owner. The owner’s wife has meticulously selected the interiors and décor, adding a personal touch, while the captain has overseen the construction process to ensure perfection.

Named Atali, this magnificent catamaran offers a four-stateroom configuration, including a spacious master suite on the main deck forward, complete with a private foredeck lounge. Three generous guest suites are situated on the lower deck, with the master stateroom boasting two ensuite bathrooms and a personalized wardrobe arrangement.

The galley is located below deck behind the forward crew cabin in the portside hull, complemented by a functional pantry on the main deck, equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, and ample storage. The bridge deck features a sunpad in the bow and a lounge area with a hi-lo table in front of the wheelhouse. The open aft deck is perfect for alfresco dining, with a dining table set athwartship and an integrated Teppanyaki-style grill for family cooking.

Jet skis are stored inside the garage, which also includes a wet bar and becomes part of the 67 sqm beach club when the folding bulwarks are deployed. This beach club can be directly accessed from the two aftmost VIP suites, while the tender is conveniently stowed on the swim platform.

For Atali’s interiors, the owners chose light tones and natural materials to enhance the brightness of the spaces, thanks to the large windows. Soft fabrics and leathers in earthy tones create a warm and inviting ambiance.

A standout feature of the WiderCat 92 is its hybrid propulsion system, with twin electric motors delivering 500kW each to the thrusters and two 349kW variable speed generators for electrical energy production. This system allows for cruising in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode) with a range of 27 nautical miles at 6 knots in complete silence, or 14 hours of autonomy on battery power at anchor. Additionally, the 75 m² of solar panels provide full energy self-sufficiency on bright, sunlit days.

As outfitting continues on this latest WiderCat 92, three additional units are already under construction at the Wider Vision Hub in Fano, promising more luxurious and innovative catamarans in the near future.
