CHRIS-CRAFT ANNOUNCES NEW FACTORY IN FLORIDA, US

Chris-Craft has acquired a 6-acre site in Sarasota, Florida in order to increase production with an additional manufacturing facility next to the current factory.  American developer Ryan Companies US Inc. has been appointed by Chris-Craft to build a new 80,000 square-foot manufacturing site.

‘We are excited for the opportunity to expand Chris-Craft right here at our home facility in Sarasota”, company president Steve Heese says. “Through this expansion, we will be able to better serve our dealers and customers, as well as the Sarasota community.’*

It’s estimated that the new production site will be completed later this year and is likely to welcome an additional 200 employees alongside the existing 20-acre site that currently employs more than 300 people.

Chris-Craft is a much-loved American heritage motor yacht brand that was established in 1874 in Michigan.  Due to the growth of the marine industry, the increase in manufacturing will better enable the company to meet customer demand for their luxury day boats, sports cruisers and launches.

Joshua Cleaver, Argo Yachting, commented ‘As official distributor of Chris-Craft in the UK and Balearics, we are delighted that the brand is taking steps to increase production.  Argo Yachting has invested in setting up a dedicated sales and service centre in Puerto Portals in Mallorca and we have been experiencing healthy growth and demand for the Chris-Craft yachts over the past 18 months.’
