2005 ABSOLUTE 45 SOLD IN 3 WEEKS BY CHARLES WILKINSON

The first sale by Charles Wilkinson as Yacht Broker at Argo Yachting is this stunning Absolute 45, built in 2005. The impressive bit is, Charles sold it in just over 3 weeks from listing to delivery to her new owner!

This 2005 Absolute 45, named ‘Vita’, was built in North Italy and is a beautiful example of a smaller sized family cruiser. The previous owner had her for just over a year, purchasing her in Chichester before using it in and around Southampton. The main feature the owner loved about his boat was its Mediterranean-style layout, especially for those escapes during lockdown in 2020. The owner looked to sell this Absolute 45, as he had moved onto a larger cruiser.

Argo Yachting listed ‘Vita’ for sale on our website and YachtWorld on 10th June. From this date, the sale was smooth, quick and professional. The buyer’s enquiry came in on the 15th June and a viewing intended for the next day. Following the viewing, a deal was agreed on the 18th June and a survey and sea trial was booked in to follow. After an exciting blast on Southampton Waters and a survey completed nearby, the buyer felt sure of their purchase. The boat was handed over by our team, ensuring the new owner felt completely comfortable and confident with their new boat, and was then delivered to Torquay on 2nd July ready for a summer of family boating!

That means that in just 22 days, we listed, sold and delivered this Absolute 45. A clear representation of just how quick it can be to sell your yacht with Argo Yachting, and a successful start for our new Yacht Broker, Charles Wilkinson.

Charles said, “The Absolute 45 is a fantastic cruiser for the family which is one of the reasons why it sold so quickly. Its layout with an aft sunbed and open cockpit really makes it a perfect boat for weekend trips in the sun. The sale went smoothly from start to finish, along with the expected tests from the boat survey. It was great to see the new owners really excited to take their new boat”. With the Southampton Boat Show also set to return in September and a busy summer ahead, Charles is on the look out for new listings.

“A very busy summer is still ahead, with multiple boats currently under offer. Our challenge now is to seek new listings, as we have buyers waiting! Southampton Boat Show will be going ahead this September, so there really couldn’t be a better time to sell your yacht. I’m looking forward to meeting our clients at the show, new and returning.”

2012 Hunton XRS43

Here’s one of our current listings which may whet your appetite! The 2012 Hunton XRS43 is one of our more unique listings. She is a truly iconic British sports boat, undergoing an extensive refit in 2019 and boasts a striking black on silver metallic paint job. Named ‘Nero’, she is presented in practically new condition, and is sure to make a statement wherever she goes. Not only does she pack a punch on the waves, she’s a dream boat for those day trips at sea – at anchor, or alongside in a marina – she is highly specified too for onboard hosting and more.
